- ➤ The Haven Hope House (79 Green Street) in Warner Robins will operate as a warming shelter from 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25 through Thursday, Jan. 29 to help local residents cope with freezing temperatures and provide transportation and overnight coverage until 8 a.m., while hours may change with the weather. - ➤ UGA's record $654M research funding supports high-tech tests at Grand Farm in Perry, where director Lenin Rodriguez and his team will trial autonomous tractors, robotic weed control, and sensors on crops. The project, partnering with 10 international companies, will begin corn planting mid-March east of the fairgrounds on Limerock Road. 13WMAZ

- ➤ Emory Healthcare is refreshing its brand in Houston County with new mobile care units & interactive Aurora Portals, and landmarks glowed green Wednesday as part of a community celebration marking the change. 13WMAZ
- ➤ Local veterinarian Wendy Minton advises pet owners to bring their cats and dogs indoors during cold weather to prevent hypothermia + frostbite. She and Vernard Hodges recommend using pet balm or booties on paws and providing strays with food and straw to keep them safe. 13WMAZ

- ➤ The City of Warner Robins held a ribbon cutting on Jan. 21 for the new Airman Boulevard Townhomes at 307 Airman Boulevard. The eight 1,400 sqft homes, built with a $1.5 million CHIP grant, are designed to help working families transition from renting to owning with sale prices under $250,000. The Houston Home Journal
