- ➤ During Monday night's city council meeting, Recreation Director Preston Pooser said lifeguard shortages from last summer may force early pool closures if staffing is not doubled. - ➤ Robins Air Force Base uses robotic dog Spot+ during hazmat situations and active shooter drills to help its fire department safely manage emergencies at the base. The technology is part of ongoing safety tests aimed at boosting readiness. 13WMAZ
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Houston County's high school basketball postseason ended early for seven teams while the boys advanced to the Elite Eight with a 64 to 43 win over Kennesaw Mountain. The team now prepares for a March 4 road game against Woodward Academy. The Houston Home Journal
