- ➤ Warner Robins used $807,000 in ARPA funds to help Habitat for Humanity build six affordable homes that enable families to move from renting to owning. Three homes are occupied and the others remain under construction on Orchard Way, Beatrice Drive + Tiffany Lane. 13WMAZ
- ➤ Warner Robins will plant 60 trees along Russell Parkway using a federal grant to help reduce noise & slow traffic as the city works to beautify the area. 13WMAZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A Georgia Legislature bill would let pharmacists prescribe hormonal birth control after receiving training from state boards and help women in rural areas manage their health. Representative Bethany Ballard said the measure would allow a 12-month supply of contraception instead of monthly doctor visits if passed. 13WMAZ
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Warner Robins scored nine runs in the fifth inning to secure a mercy rule win, 15 to 4, against Central Fellowship Christian Academy on Thursday. Head coach Parker Stahlman said the team has embraced a new defensive culture & is preparing for region play on March 10 at 5 p.m. The Houston Home Journal
