- ➤ Jayveon Bivins, who is accused of killing his girlfriend Michaela Chaney in February 2024, is set to begin his trial today after police found her abandoned car off Russell Parkway and signs of a struggle at her home — he faces charges of murder, concealing evidence, causing a dog's death, stealing a car and making false statements while another man is to be tried separately. 13WMAZ

- ➤ The City of Warner Robins asked residents to avoid Bay Gall Creek after a tree fell on a 15-inch sewer line near Holiday Park Riviera Mobile Home Park on Monday—causing sewage to spill as crews diverted the flow and posted warning signs while working with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Representatives from Houston Healthcare and Emory Healthcare met at a town hall at Central Georgia Technical College on April 10 to discuss a possible partnership that would bring Emory’s Epic system to Houston Healthcare in Warner Robins and Perry. The arrangement does not involve a sale or cash payment and will be reviewed by the Attorney General, with a report expected by mid-May—local leaders say it will strengthen community healthcare services. - ➤ Morris Bank purchased the former site of the historic New Perry Hotel for $2.2 million from Triple P Holdings in January, and the vacant lot remains fenced and undeveloped.
