NotiVisión Georgia received a $24,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Central Georgia to expand bilingual resources for Spanish-speaking residents navigating schools, courts and healthcare systems.

The organization will soon launch its Bienvenido to Central Georgia project, featuring five video modules + 2,500 pocket guides.

Houston County 911 reports that growing apartment developments and subdivisions have increased call volume nearly 9% over five years, stressing dispatchers who remain fully staffed.

Director Veronica Edens said dispatchers continue to handle high call volumes and respond quickly during peak times.
