A $100M investment is launching a STEAM and Allied Health Academy in Byron that will offer dual enrollment healthcare courses starting fall 2026 through a local partnership with Central Georgia Technical College, with the building opening fall 2027 to support over 2,000 students through simulation labs + faculty hiring.
🏛️ Government
Houston County's 911 center now offers a Residential Premise Form for residents with disabilities or medical needs so that first responders can approach safely during emergencies.
Residents who opt in help ensure police, fire, and EMS are aware of personal needs and can adjust response techniques accordingly.
