- ➤ Warner Robins police were called Friday at about 2:20 p.m. to a home on Sun Valley Drive when a live hand grenade was found in a used truck toolbox — the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Explosive Unit confirmed the explosive was active and secured the area. WGXA
- ➤ Warner Robins Police Department found a live grenade hidden in a used truck toolbox at 109 Sun Valley Drive on April 25th at around 2:20 p.m.—law enforcement and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations’ Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit secured the area by 4:15 p.m. The Houston Home Journal
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ School officials and local leaders broke ground on a new Veterans Middle School on Piney Grove Road in Kathleen—funded by E-SPLOST to ease overcrowding at Perry and Bonaire Middle Schools. The school will feature 60 classrooms, a gym, a media center, and athletic facilities, and will open by fall 2027. WGXA

- ➤ Officials detailed cleanup after a 15-inch sewer line near Holiday Riviera Mobile Home Park broke on April 14, releasing nearly one million gallons when a tree fell and a creek bank collapsed; crews have reclaimed about 90% of the spill and will reroute the pipes for an estimated $290,000.
