ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Warner Robins Police responded to an accident on the 200 block of Inverness Avenue at around 4 p.m. on May 7 when a juvenile was struck by a vehicle and taken by EMS to the Children’s Hospital of Macon— the driver is cooperating with the investigation. The Houston Home Journal
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Warner Robins approved a new ordinance on May 5 that requires retailers with more than 10 shopping carts to register + post signs with their information, and code enforcement will remove abandoned carts as businesses have 60 days to adjust. The council also approved annexing nearly 23 acres at 120 Kennel Drive + planning for 182 new multi-family apartment units. The Houston Home Journal
- ➤ At a recent meeting, Houston County commissioners heard from Col. William DeWalt of the 413th Flight Test Group and signed a proclamation declaring next week as Salvation Army Appreciation Week—matters that underscore Robins’ support for its military and local community programs. The Board also approved special exception applications, a memorandum with Mental Health Matters on opioid awareness, and an intergovernmental agreement for county water management.
