  • Authorities confirmed that 65-year-old Nancy Ann Cobb died in a fire that began around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday on Brighton and Belfair Drive in Houston County—investigators are examining the scene after finding a note in a parked car, and her death came days after her boyfriend died from cancer on May 7.  13WMAZ

HEALTH NEWS

  • Publix recalled its Greenwise Pear, Kiwi, Spinach and Pea Baby Food pouches after routine testing found elevated lead levels in the product distributed in eight states, including Georgia. Customers who purchased the item can return it for a full refund and no illnesses have been reported.  41NBC

SPORTS NEWS

  • Local high schools showcased spring football at McConnell-Talbert Stadium in Warner Robins as teams practiced game-speed drills and matchups ahead of the fall season. The Northeast Raiders, Perry Panthers, Howard Huskies and Warner Robins Demons competed in the event — setting the stage for the 2025 season starting August 15.  41NBC
