During Sunday's storm, the historic former Powers-Beckett Home at 1102 Beckham Circle in Perry suffered heavy damage to its roof and front porch when a fallen tree struck the building — the house, built in the 1850s and moved in 1925, is part of the Washington-Evergreen Historic District.

Warner Robins unveiled Wings at Commercial Circle on May 16—an art installation featuring 46 handcrafted metal plane sculptures made by local welding students.

The project was led by the Downtown Development Authority and Community and Economic Development Department to celebrate the city's aviation history and technical education.
