- ➤ Thirteen people were arrested in Milledgeville on Wednesday after a 13-month drug investigation led by a multi-agency team including the Warner Robins Police Department — the investigation involved several law enforcement agencies from multiple counties. WGXA
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On May 19, Warner Robins City Council honored police dog K9 Argo by presenting Investigator Jason Lamberth with a plaque to recognize his service. The council also approved an ordinance to set up a seven-member code enforcement board — this board will have the power to issue fines and handle code issues outside of Municipal Court. - ➤ The Houston County Commissioners heard from Flint River FCA Multi-Area Director Daryl McElwain about the organization’s plan to engage, equip & empower coaches and athletes. - ➤ Georgia braces for its busiest Memorial Day travel weekend in two decades as AAA projects 1.38 million travelers to drive at least 50 miles — nearly 45,000 more than last year, spurred by lower gas prices. Georgia State Patrol and law enforcement will increase road patrols during the holiday period from May 22 to May 26 to address speeding, impaired driving and congestion. 13WMAZ
