- ➤ Veterans transitioning to civilian life will soon benefit from enhanced training at the VECTR Center thanks to a $300,000 federal grant (announced on May 1), which will expand courses in IT, AI, robotics, HVAC, welding and truck driving. The Houston Home Journal
- ➤ Houston County high schools celebrated the class of 2026 graduation on Thursday and Friday as students walked across the stage and received symbolic keys to the future & marked a major milestone at campuses including Warner Robins High. The Houston Home Journal
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City leaders and residents have raised concerns over a planned roundabout at the busy Perry intersection as growth has led to more accidents — the city council will send a letter to state transportation urging a traffic light option to better protect nearby properties. 13WMAZ
- ➤ A water main break on Friday affected a large area along Carl Vinson Parkway and King Richard Drive as city crews worked to restore service. Officials said repairs remain in progress and thanked residents for their patience. WGXA
