- ➤ Operation Arresting Hunger will partner with Culver's to host a Share Night fundraiser on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at 780 State Route 96 in Warner Robins—deputies will help serve customers while a portion of sales will support Thanksgiving meals and Christmas gifts for families in need. - ➤ Residents in Pleasant Hill will hold their 19th annual neighborhood reunion on Juneteenth to celebrate the area's rich history and strong community ties—organizers plan to honor local heritage with community activities. WPGA
- ➤ Sipp's Entertainment will host its annual Father’s Day lakeside event at Lake Tobesofkee’s Sandy Beach this weekend from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.—live music will begin at 11 a.m., family activities include a nomination for the Father of the Year award—and tickets cost $20 in advance or $30 at the gate with a $5 cash-only parking fee. 41NBC
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Joshua James Estep, 44, pleaded guilty on June 12 to trafficking fentanyl after a Perry police investigation found him with 30 grams packaged for sale at a hotel—he was sentenced to 30 years in prison, fined $100,000, and banned from Houston County and nearby areas. 41NBC
- ➤ A Warner Robins man, 38-year-old Demetrius Darnel Jones, pleaded guilty to two counts of identity fraud on June 12 and was sentenced to 12 years—eight in state prison and four on probation. 41NBC
- ➤ A Macon man, 57-year-old Joseph Rainey, pled guilty on June 5 to trafficking cocaine and running a drug ring in Bibb and Houston County — he was sentenced to 20 years in prison with the first ten to be served in the Department of Corrections and must pay a $200,000 fine.
