The Middle Georgia Community Food Bank received 40,000 pounds of donated food Thursday from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — the food will be shared through over 200 local partner agencies to help families facing food insecurity.
More than 40 local businesses joined United We Dine for Brookdale to raise over $16,000 for the Brookdale Resource Center, which provides shelter, meals and supportive services to families.
The funds will feed five families for one month and support over 50 individuals with three meals daily.

Warner Robins hosts its Juneteenth Annual Freedom Festival at North Houston Sports Complex on Saturday, June 20 from 3 PM to 8 PM, where families can enjoy food trucks, music, local art, and kid-friendly activities.
🎓 Education
The Argene Claxton Canning Plant in Perry is open for free food preservation during the summer—offering hands-on lessons for home gardeners and students.
It welcomes customers Monday through Thursday from 7:15 a.m. until 11 a.m. at 1701 Houston Lake Road.
