On June 18, NWS Peachtree City confirmed 10 tornadoes and one downburst from Tropical Storm Arthur affecting middle Georgia.
Most tornadoes were EF0 or EF1 and a tree from an EF0 in Putnam County fell onto a vehicle — causing 2 indirect deaths and 2 injuries as damage surveys remain pending.
🏛️ Government
Houston County officials said today they are keeping the status quo on data centers while watching how nearby counties manage new developments.
They plan to review proposals & update local ordinances if conditions prove favorable for future projects.
City crews will work on utility construction — closing part of Hickory Street from the entrance to Nu-Way Weiners to Bernard Drive today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and tomorrow during the same hours.
