Warner Robins will host its 43rd Annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4 at McConnell-Talbert Stadium; gates open at 6 p.m. Performers include Kool & the Gang and Phillip Phillips along with food vendors, fireworks and a one-way shuttle from Middle Georgia State University (5–9 p.m.)

Houston County unveiled a painting commemorating America’s 250th anniversary and community pride.
Atlanta artist Patrick Lewis designed the colorful work featuring scenes from Perry, Warner Robins, Centerville, and Robins Air Force Base (commissioned by the county for this milestone).
