Good morning, Warner Robins. Here's your local news at a glance for Friday, the 11th of July.

COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Perry celebrated 70 years with a combined homecoming service last Sunday that had double its usual attendance and a special meal, as Pastor Lewis Kiger recalled the church’s humble start in 1955 when a small group first met in a basement. HEALTH NEWS

  • Dr. Timothy Griffin from Atrium Health warns that as summer heat rises in June, July, and August, residents are at risk of heat exhaustion and heat stroke and must take steps to stay cool and hydrated (especially children, the elderly, and pets). SPORTS NEWS

  • Middle Georgia State announced on July 10th it will join NCAA Division II and remain a full member of the Peach Belt Conference during a three-year provisional period this fall.
