- ➤ Marquavious Manning, 22, pleaded guilty to false imprisonment on July 7 and received a 15-year sentence for his violent domestic attack on a pregnant woman in Perry on Dec. 16, 2024 — he will serve the first 10 years in the Department of Corrections —. The Houston Home Journal
- ➤ Warner Robins man Brian McManus was convicted of killing his wife Lucille in November 2023 after he called 911 saying she died by suicide — prosecutors say he planned to run off with his secret girlfriend in Florida. 13WMAZ
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Amelia Wilson teaches 10-minute Infant Swimming Resource lessons that train infants and toddlers to stay alert underwater by using skills like floating, kicking and swimming with weighted clothing—steps aimed at reducing drowning, the leading cause of death for children ages one to four. Wilson also advises parents to start water exposure early and to improve home pool safety with alarms, fences and CPR training. 13WMAZ
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Warner Robins will host the Southeast Region Little League baseball and softball tournaments from July 20 through August 5 with teams from eight states competing as a precursor to the Little League World Series. Softball opening ceremonies start July 19 at 9 a.m. and baseball ceremonies begin July 30 at 9 a.m. at Little League Southeast park at 439 Snellgrove Drive—admission and parking are free for fans.
