- ➤ Heather Coy — an art teacher at Northside High School in Warner Robins — leads Fairytales and Friends, a growing business that creates costumes of superheroes and cartoon characters for community events. Her nearly 30-member team performed at 57 events in 2024 and plans to double its appearances this year with shows at historic Luther Williams Field next Friday night and the Back to School Kickoff the following day. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Local youth athletes from Warner Robins and Houston County are competing in the NFL Flag Football Tournament at the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio in hopes of earning an ESPN spotlight and a national title. The Ten To Win Sports League’s 14U and 10U teams have shown strong teamwork and commitment — with a parent driving 11 hours overnight to support the players. WGXA
