- ➤ Warner Robins police arrested Tameisha Carter—25 and Neal Speer—62 on Monday morning after they allegedly attacked 50-year-old Charlie Haslem with a box cutter and a stick while he gave them a ride near Meadowdale Drive and stole his car, and Haslem—whose head and neck injuries have left him stable—is now in the hospital with an ongoing investigation underway. - ➤ On July 17th, Perry Police Department and Houston County Sheriff's Office executed search warrants at nine homes after investigating a drug trafficking organization suspected of funneling narcotics into our community; 21 individuals were arrested and over $5 million in narcotics — including 77 pounds of marijuana, 10 pounds of meth, 13 pounds of cocaine, 4 pounds of ecstasy, and more than $200,000 in cash — were seized. 41NBC

- ➤ Georgia reached a historic milestone in June when the state’s job count hit 5,001,100+the health care sector led the gains by adding 3,900 new positions that month. - ➤ Houston County Assistant District Attorney Michael Douglas 'Mike' Smith received the statewide 2025 Assistant District Attorney of the Year award on July 20 at a conference on Jekyll Island + he is known for handling narcotics, violation, and probation cases.
