  • The Warner Robins Fire Department will host its first annual After-Burn Auto Show on August 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 900 North Houston Road to raise funds for the Georgia Firefighters' Burn Foundation (GFBF) and will offer family-friendly activities with a wide range of vehicles on display.  The Houston Home Journal

  • Dutch Bros Coffee opened its first Georgia location at 2695 Watson Boulevard on July 15 and serves a variety of customizable drinks with friendly drive-thru and walk-up service—though limited food options and heavy ice in drinks may affect customer value.  The Houston Home Journal

CRIME NEWS

  • A Warner Robins homeowner from Thomas Chase Court in Bonaire was arrested on July 19 at 7:30 p.m. for a disorderly house charge after hosting a party with about 30 to 40 guests and she claims she has faced ongoing racial harassment and a warning from officials against hosting gatherings + neighbors have reportedly targeted her with racially charged messages.  WGXA

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Robins Air Force Base will host a two-day blood drive on August 14 to 15 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to support deployed troops and meet military medical needs under the Armed Services Blood Program. Eligible donors must be free of cold or flu symptoms, weigh over 116 pounds, and not have had a new tattoo in the last three months—staff say the screening and donation process takes about 20 minutes.  The Houston Home Journal
  • With Safe Digging Day set for August 11th, Georgia 811 is urging residents to call 811 at least three business days before digging so utility companies can mark lines properly + prepare for safe work. Failing to call may lead to hazardous disruptions like power outages or gas line strikes.  The Houston Home Journal

  • Sleep experts Lori Oliver and Jill Macrae say that getting at least 8 hours of sleep gives athletes a clear advantage on the football field—Warner Robins quarterback Ellison Dantes said full rest helps him feel more relaxed and focused. Experts also noted that a special sleep mask is designed to improve recovery and boost performance in games.  13WMAZ
