- ➤ Georgia State Patrol Post 15 will host a Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 450 Larry Walker Parkway where families will enjoy games—such as a DUI simulator, seatbelt convincer, dunk tank, and driving simulator—to learn more about local law enforcement. Perry Police Department and Houston County Sheriff’s Office will also join to strengthen community ties. The Houston Home Journal
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Houston County parents expressed deep concern after two school employees mocked Charlie Kirk’s death on social media—viewing the posts as unprofessional and disrespectful. They said the comments lack empathy for human life and have raised questions about staff conduct. 13WMAZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, Warner Robins city leaders approved a project to add flashing signs, raised pavement markers and new road striping at the busy rail crossing on Elberta Road (State Route 247) to reduce crash risks. GDOT will lead the short-term construction, which is expected to begin before year’s end (city officials say work will start immediately). 13WMAZ
