On Sept.18, Warner Robins mayoral candidates LaRhonda Patrick and Fabian Velasquez debated at the Winning Church.

Patrick highlighted her record on lowering crime and managing the budget — Velasquez said the city needs new steps to help the north side and fix spending gaps.

At a mayoral debate at The Winning Church, Mayor LaRhonda Patrick and challenger Fabian Velazquez discussed crime, housing and the $180 million city budget as election day on November 4 nears.

Patrick defended her record while Velazquez called for changes in fiscal management — both candidates explained why they deserve to lead Warner Robins.

During Warner Robins Burger Week, 20 restaurants served special burgers that attracted many locals; a reporter tried 2 Guys and a Pie’s Heisenburger on Friday night—featuring wickles pickles, pickled pink Vidalia onions, sautéed jalapeños, lettuce, honey-glazed bacon, chili P, secret sauce and cheddar cheese sauce—and praised its cheesy balance despite low spice. Friends also visited Props Steak and Seafood where the Black Tie Truffle Burger came with creamy Boursin cheese, fresh arugula, sun-dried tomatoes and caramelized balsamic onions, though they noted it was slightly overcooked.
