Good morning, Warner Robins.
💼 Business
Cory Jones, owner of Sweet Evelyn’s in downtown Perry, gained national attention on Food Network’s Halloween Baking Championship by overcoming early setbacks and winning two rounds.
He credits his rising success to a passion for baking and the competitive spirit learned from his stepdad, pitmaster Myron Mixon.
Warner Robins approved new rules that simplify the permit process for home-based businesses by letting residents choose one of three ways to notify the public — holding a hearing, collecting neighbor signatures, or sending certified letters.
The new process may allow permits in as little as seven days, though at-home daycares still require council approval — updated forms are now available on the city website.
