- ➤ Veterans Warhawks beat Lamar County 72-43 in their first scrimmage game of the season — coach Brandon Driggers said the team showed strong physical play but needs to boost its consistent toughness on defense. The team will open its regular season with a home game against Warner Robins on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 4 p.m. The Houston Home Journal
- ➤ Veterans started their season Tuesday with a 69-42 scrimmage loss to Lamar County—turnovers and inexperience hurt the Lady Warhawks’ play. Coach Tracy Fendley said the mostly young team will review film and practice ahead of their season opener on Nov. 15 at The Hangar—hoping to improve quickly. The Houston Home Journal
