- ➤ 11-year-old Tessa Smith has saved her allowance for six years to donate to 13WMAZ’s Stuff the Truck food drive that supports the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank—she donates $5 each week, sometimes rounding up, to help stock shelves for local families. The drive will hold donation drop-offs at Walmart locations in Warner Robins, Macon, Dublin, and Milledgeville from November 18—20. 13WMAZ
- ➤ Warner Robins' new Haven Hope House opened early due to dropping temperatures, offering up to 60 people warmth & meals, showers and a safe place to sleep from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. tonight. City leaders plan to install alarm systems and launch a daytime shelter soon. 13WMAZ
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Georgia Department of Public Health released a Restaurant Report Card for food service inspections from November 3 to November 7 across Middle Georgia—scores below 70 are unsatisfactory, scores between 70 and 99 are satisfactory, and a score of 100 represents perfection. Several Warner Robins establishments are included in the report. 41NBC
