- ➤ Heroes and Villains Comics and Games finished its fifth annual Rations for the Realm food drive—donating 6,576 items to the Warner Robins First United Methodist Church Food Bank. Manager Mallory Moss said the event expanded from a Magic: The Gathering raffle to include Dungeons and Dragons and Pokémon, drawing strong local support. The Houston Home Journal

- ➤ The Bible Reading Marathon starts today at 7 p.m. at the County Courthouse Annex on 200 Carl Vinson Parkway and will run until November 20 — attendees are set to read the Bible in 360 segments while speakers such as Commissioner Dan Perdue, Sheriff Matt Moulton and Commissioner Shane Gottwalls address the crowd. Organizers have gathered over 200 readers and local business support to bring the community together through this historic event. The Houston Home Journal

- ➤ Georgia high school seniors can save on college fees as over 60 schools waive application costs through the state's Apply to College Month initiative — which runs until November 30 — while families check GAfutures for details. 13WMAZ
- ➤ In Perry, the Houston County Board of Education met on November 10 and renewed E-SPLOST funding to improve school facilities, security, and resources while Superintendent Richard Rogers praised the board's support. The board also approved a rezoning plan to merge Parkwood Primary and Westside Elementary attendance zones for the 2026-2027 school year—Board Chair Helen Hughes said the change will benefit both schools and the community.
