- ➤ Feed the City (a Warner Robins nonprofit) distributed Thanksgiving turkeys and meal fixings to about 1,000 families at Hope Church’s food pantry last Friday from 10 a.m. to noon, with over 350 volunteers serving and more than 150 cars in line before the event began. The giveaway continued a nearly 30-year tradition of support for local families ahead of Thanksgiving. 13WMAZ
- ➤ Holiday shoppers filled the Georgia National Fairgrounds on Saturday as more than 100 local vendors offered handcrafted gifts and crafts at the Mistletoe Market—families found unique items for their holiday needs. The market will reopen on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Miller Murphy Howard Building. 13WMAZ
- ➤ Over the weekend, the Humanitarian Gang partnered with the Warner Robins Housing Authority and local groups to hold a Thanksgiving food giveaway that provided sweet potatoes, collard greens, and non-perishable items to families. Organizer Victoria Hudson said the event—now in its 10th year—was especially important due to the recent government shutdown and its impact on SNAP benefits. WGXA
