- ➤ Four major Georgia universities joined the Georgia Aerospace and Defense Alliance at its inaugural state-of-the-industry luncheon Tuesday in Warner Robins — strengthening industry research and partnerships statewide. WPGA

- ➤ Howard High teacher Kristi Varnado was recognized this week as My Teacher Is Tops winner for her humor and dedication in literature and composition classes, having taught for 11 years (her long service and care have inspired students beyond academics). 13WMAZ
- ➤ On Tuesday, Dec. 9, the Houston County Board of Education recognized AP Scholars from Northside and Veterans High School and donated to United Way of Central Georgia. The district will offer free snack kits on Dec. 19 at three schools (Bonaire Middle, Langston Road Primary, Northside Elementary) during winter break. The Houston Home Journal

- ➤ Lifeguard Pediatrics doctor Uwa Iguobadia warned that as temperatures drop, flu, RSV and other respiratory infections are on the rise in Warner Robins. The doctor advises residents to stay up to date on vaccines and monitor symptoms (like cough, runny nose, and fever) to seek medical care if needed. 41NBC
