- ➤ NotiVisión Georgia received a $24,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Central Georgia to expand bilingual resources for Spanish-speaking residents navigating schools, courts and healthcare systems. The organization will soon launch its Bienvenido to Central Georgia project, featuring five video modules + 2,500 pocket guides. 13WMAZ
- ➤ HALO Group will host its inaugural Garden Party Gala fundraiser on Saturday, Apr. 18 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds/Georgia Grown building with dinner at 6 p.m. and doors opening at 5 p.m. The event will feature a silent auction, live music from Darin Curtis + Chin Lee, and guest speaker Michael Craven. - ➤ Houston County 911 reports that growing apartment developments and subdivisions have increased call volume nearly 9% over five years, stressing dispatchers who remain fully staffed.
