Veterans at Warner Robins VFW Post 6605 are collecting donations of food, diapers, masks and other supplies to aid South Georgia wildfire victims on Friday.

They are partnering with the VFW Auxiliary and need local volunteers to help organize the contributions.

After losing its shelter in December, Paws in Middle Georgia now relies solely on foster homes, caring for 58 animals in about 35 placements as demand increases + local families like Morgan Woodard’s help keep rescued pets safe while the group receives 15 to 20 urgent requests daily.

The Macon-Bibb Fire Department presented a $4,500 check to United in Pink Tuesday at a Cherry Blossom Festival pink pancake breakfast, supporting breast cancer patients across 24 counties.
