- ➤ During Sunday's storm, the historic former Powers-Beckett Home at 1102 Beckham Circle in Perry suffered heavy damage to its roof and front porch when a fallen tree struck the building — the house, built in the 1850s and moved in 1925, is part of the Washington-Evergreen Historic District. - ➤ Warner Robins unveiled Wings at Commercial Circle on May 16—an art installation featuring 46 handcrafted metal plane sculptures made by local welding students. The project was led by the Downtown Development Authority and Community and Economic Development Department to celebrate the city's aviation history and technical education. The Houston Home Journal
- ➤ Warner Robins native Danny Boone leads Rehab as they mark 25 years since their hit ‘Sittin’ at a Bar aka The Bartender Song’ with a concert at Capitol Theatre in Macon on May 24—doors open at 6 p.m.—and a tour starting May 22 featuring guest artists while merch proceeds go to Macon Rescue Mission. - ➤ Atrium Health Navicent’s Mobile Mammography Coach provided free mammogram screenings at Deloris Tolliver Park on May 16—this coach, run entirely by women, uses advanced 3D imaging and wheelchair-accessible technology for Warner Robins women. Launched on Jan 7 at Central Georgia Technical College, the coach has now served 500 patients and helps break down barriers to early breast cancer detection. The Houston Home Journal
