Veterans transitioning to civilian life will soon benefit from enhanced training at the VECTR Center thanks to a $300,000 federal grant (announced on May 1), which will expand courses in IT, AI, robotics, HVAC, welding and truck driving.

Houston County high schools celebrated the class of 2026 graduation on Thursday and Friday as students walked across the stage and received symbolic keys to the future & marked a major milestone at campuses including Warner Robins High.

City leaders and residents have raised concerns over a planned roundabout at the busy Perry intersection as growth has led to more accidents — the city council will send a letter to state transportation urging a traffic light option to better protect nearby properties.

A water main break on Friday affected a large area along Carl Vinson Parkway and King Richard Drive as city crews worked to restore service.

Officials said repairs remain in progress and thanked residents for their patience.
